DC Council
The DC Council will hold a Legislative Meeting on Tuesday at noon. Legislation of interest include:
B25-0540 - School Improvement Amendment Act of 2023
B25-0134 - Minimum Wage Clarification Amendment Act of 2023
Bill would require employers to pay District minimum wage rates when an employee performs at least two hours of work in the District in one work week.
B25-0580 - Opioid Crisis and Juvenile Crime Public Emergencies Extension Authorization Temporary Amendment Act of 2023
DC State Board of Education
The DC State Board of Education will not have a public meeting this week.
Maryland
Maryland General Assembly:
The Maryland House of Delegates and the Maryland Senate are adjourned and not in session.

Charles County
Board of Charles County Commissioners
The Board of Charles County Commissioners will meet this Tuesday at 9 am. The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes budget amendments and transfers to a briefing on the Capital Improvement Program for Waldorf Urban Park and Amphitheater.
There will also be a review of Commissioners' goals and objectives, a first-quarter review of the General Fund, and updates on the American Rescue Plan Act. Additionally, there will be discussions on Bill 2023-(09) related to Healthy Meals for Children.
Charles County Board of Education
The Charles County Board of Education will not meet this week.

Montgomery County
Montgomery County Council
The Montgomery County Council will meet tomorrow at 9 am. The Council will hear a presentation on the Anti-Hate Task Force Reports. On the consent calendar, there are various actions, including budget appropriations and appointments. During this session, the Council will elect new Council officers, including a new Council President.
After a recess, the afternoon session includes a public hearing on Expedited Bill 41-23, Fire and Rescue Services – Length of Service Awards Program for Volunteers - Amendments. The Council will also vote on a supplemental appropriation for transportation.

The Montgomery County Board of Education will hold a business meeting tomorrow at 9:00 am. The Board will hear presentations on student data, the fiscal year 2023 staff climate survey results, and the 2022-2023 annual report with strategic plan updates. The Superintendent's recommended fiscal year 2025 operating budget will be overviewed. Later in the meeting, they will hear the presentation of the preliminary plans for Burtonsville Elementary School Replacement.

Prince George's County
Prince George's County Council
The Prince George's County Council will meet tomorrow at 11:00 am, where the Council will hold the election of the County Council Chair and Vice Chair for the 2024 legislative year, an exchange of the gavel. This will be the final session of the Prince George's County Council for 2023. They will next meet in 2024.
Prince George's County Board of Education
The Prince George's County Board of Education will meet this Thursday at 5:00 pm to hear the Superintendent's presentation of the FY2025 Proposed Budget. They will also discuss the
Pedestrian Safety Letter begins considering a new charter school application for Friendship Aspire Bowie STEM Public Charter School.

Fairfax County
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow at 9:30 am. During the meeting, the Board will recognize outgoing Board of Supervisors Members and have a presentation by Kate Hanley, Chairman of the Electoral Board, regarding Election Year 2023.
The Board will also adopt -the 2024 Legislative Program for the Virginia General Assembly and approve the County's 118th Congress Federal Legislative Strategy and Principles.
Fairfax County School Board
The Fairfax County School Board will hold a full meeting tonight at 7:30 pm. week. The meeting proceeds with discussions on community participation, academic matters, the strategic plan, and the mid-year budget. There is also a performance review related to Strategic Plan Goal 3. The meeting features action items concerning school capacity and boundaries, legislative programs, and reports on employee separation.
