The DC State Board of Education will have a public meeting on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.

Maryland General Assembly:
The Maryland House of Delegates and the Maryland Senate are adjourned and not in session.

Board of Charles County Commissioners
The Board of Charles County Commissioners will hold their regular session tomorrow at 9 am. The agenda includes recognition of the Charles County Government Truck Rodeo Awards, approval of minutes, budget amendments and transfers, change orders, standard operating procedures, a letter to the State Delegation regarding the College of Southern Maryland Pool, a contract for a federal lobbyist, a resolution regarding the temporary suspension of a zoning ordinance, briefings on Bill 2023-(09) Healthy Meals for Chmildren, an update to the Maryland Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Program (MD PACE), and a discussion on Southern Crossings-ARPA.
Charles County Board of Education
The Charles County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting tomorrow at 1 p. The agenda includes reports from officers, committees, and the superintendent, considerations for the FY2025 budget, recognition of students and employees, unfinished business regarding the Board handbook, new business, future agenda items, public forum, reports of officers and boards, action items, and adjournment.

Montgomery County Council
The Montgomery County Council will hold its regular meeting tomorrow at 9:30 am. The agenda includes updates on the fiscal situation, legislation on property tax credits (Bill 45-23), firearms sales (Bill 36-23), and food security, and action items on appropriations, rent stabilization, and menstrual products in public restrooms (Bill 42-23). The Council will also sit as the Board of Health to hold a public hearing on Bill 42-23, which requires menstrual products in public restrooms. Prince George's County Council
The Prince George's County Council is in recess. They will not meet until January of 2024.
Prince George's County Board of Education
The Prince George's County Board of Education will meet this Thursday at 5:00 pm for a work session. The agenda includes public comment on agenda and non-agenda items, a discussion on parent engagement, and the Superintendent's 90-day plan.

Alexandria City
Alexandria City Council:
The Alexandria City Council will hold its legislative meeting tomorrow at 7 pm with proclamations and recognitions for Human Rights Month and Fair Weather Night for First Night Alexandria. Council members will then give oral reports on Boards, Commissions, and Committees, followed by an oral report from the City Manager. The Council will also discuss and consider the proposed legislative package for the 2024 General Assembly, receive an update on the Torpedo Factory Art Center, and hear a report regarding the release of illegal racially restrictive covenants on city-owned properties.
Alexandria City Board of Education
The Alexandria County Board will have a full Board meeting today at 3:30 pm. The School Board will review the updated Superintendent Evaluation Criteria Document and the related evaluation procedures draft, both informed by the VDOE changes published in June 2022.

Arlington County Board

Fairfax County
Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will not meet this week. However, on Wednesday, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will hold the Inauguration Ceremony for its 15th Urban County Board of Supervisors, Constitutional Officers, and Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District Directors. The ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m. with a reception beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Fairfax County School Board
The Fairfax County School Board will hold a full meeting on Thursday at 7:30 pm. . Presentations will be made on Community Participation, Student Representative Matters, Superintendent Matters, and the Strategic Plan Goal 1 Baseline Report. Action items include FY 2024 Midyear Budget Review and Strategic Plan Goal 1 Baseline Report: Strong Start: Pre-K-12. Consent agenda items include policy changes, employee separation report, contract awards, and a lease extension. New business items include Alternative Accreditation Plan 2024 and FY25 Budget Resolution. Board committee reports will be presented.
