What we do
The Center for Local Policy Analysis (CLPA) provides information about local policy, political candidates, the legislative process, and government agencies and institutions to residents of the Washington Metropolitan Area so they can become better advocates for themselves and their community. The work we do at CLPA aims to provide an approachable, fact-based, non-partisan method to both policymaking and some of our community's biggest challenges.

CLPA provides weekly updates and analysis on local and state legislation, regulations, and resolutions that will have an impact on the Washington Metropolitan Area.
CLPA provides links to helpful resources to become actively involved in the political process or to improve conditions in your neighborhood. If you see a resource that is not listed that needs to be, please contact us, and we will update our site.
CLPA highlights key statements, decisions, and votes in the various legislative bodies around the Washington Metropolitan Area. During election season, we profile candidates running for office and their policy proposals.
